Part 2: Self Assessment
I did the self assessment on the US Department of Labor’s website at http://www.doleta.gov/jobseekers/assess_yourself.cfm
I really liked doing this self assessment. It reinforced that I do have the skills that it takes to be a good IT teacher. I also liked that there are lots of other jobs that I would be qualified and skilled for that are not at a traditional school setting. I would still be teaching co-workers but doing other tasks as well. I like working with others so being an instructional design employee would be a good fit. I did find out that it can involve a lot of writing. I enjoy writing but it is not my strongest gift. I am glad that I found this site and look forward to using It in the future.
